TICKS AND LYME DISEASE ARE ON THE RISE!

Toronto Public Health stated that they are seeing a significant increase in the number of Lyme Disease cases in Toronto and all across Ontario. It is important once a tick is noticed on your pet to remove it immediately. If the tick cannot be removed safely, go to your nearest vet to do so.

Ticks start transmitting Lyme Disease, and other tick borne diseases, only after a blood meal

has been taken. This usually occurs 24 hours after attaching to the host. Therefore, it is very

important to make sure both you and your pet are protected.

You can visit your local vet and/or health care provider to get INFORMED and TAKE ACTION!
